original sequel that got scrapped
I'm taking issue with "progression platformer"
that's just a platformer
99% of platformers have progression
Spooky, I agree that the term is stupid
other than the ones where the entire game is a single level
But I wanted to distinguish between typical metroidvanias of an open world variety, and this game which is level based and not open world
but I do not know a good term for that

You can publish a port that has a packed in emulator, that is arguably a way of making a port of all time
Most sega collections are emulating the games, as an example

It was not steam, it was the service they use for two factor auth
Likely the worst that will happen steam wise is an uptick in phishing emails now that some connecting info is out there
Valve is also a good company anyways, so if they did get hacked I gaurentee you they hash/salt/ etc all of their passwords so it is less risky than a lot of companies who just store passwords in retarded ways
