I had a lot of fun with T7 as a casual. T8 when I played it was just getting gorilla'd out by mashing and people 1 and running to save their rank the first week the game came out

Yea a lot of just doing shit, which I mean im ok with i play like lars, kazuya, Bryan. I think heat dash was just too oppressive and some stages like the falling meteor with the floor bound were so toxic

If you didn't get to proc the one time floor bounce on the meteor stage you might as well pack it up. Music was super sick though

T8 was a "man this game will be insanely good when they smooth out those nagging issues," but there's no hopium left atm; the season 2 changes were a giant backslide

Bringing back the old team is a good idea, but S3 will need to be such a big patch that just removes mechanics and moves and I cant picture them doing that

That's an issue with these gigantic dev teams. If you've spent money and dev resources programming/animating/implementing a feature like heat burst, you're not gonna just take it out one patch, even if it's hurting the game flow. Sunk cost fallacy and all that

Ive never touched VF, I just know its fucked up
VF is a lot more neutral-focused, with shorter strings and a quicker match pace than Tekken. I'm dogshit rn but I'm having fun getting owned. I can tell I'm getting outplayed by the boomer playerbase and not just getting steamrolled by a guy doing his one gimmick at me over and over. If you ever get REVO, hmu

Because I did not want to start the french game, and I was the first one to finish the PPP subgroup of the rancebookclub's current game, I played through 90% of the main story of shantae half-genie hero today, spurred on by the fact that apparently the new game is coming this summer

I do feel like you can just call it a platformer though, again I don't think that's really an uncommon thing as far as platformers go, stages add new mechanics over-time, and often that's done by giving the MC some new power/upgrade
