They delayed the delay announcement
insanely funny though
why I think the changes were AI is that they correctly identify the weaknesses, like if you fed 100s and 100s of replays into an algorithm and it asked it to spit out what situations the char lost in. But then completely disregarded whether or not this weakness was an intentional part of the character's design

Yea a lot of just doing shit, which I mean im ok with i play like lars, kazuya, Bryan. I think heat dash was just too oppressive and some stages like the falling meteor with the floor bound were so toxic

That's an issue with these gigantic dev teams. If you've spent money and dev resources programming/animating/implementing a feature like heat burst, you're not gonna just take it out one patch, even if it's hurting the game flow. Sunk cost fallacy and all that

Because I did not want to start the french game, and I was the first one to finish the PPP subgroup of the rancebookclub's current game, I played through 90% of the main story of shantae half-genie hero today, spurred on by the fact that apparently the new game is coming this summer

Which is funny because (I have not played seven sirens) it is the only one that I would say is not a metroidvania but a progression platformer

But I wanted to distinguish between typical metroidvanias of an open world variety, and this game which is level based and not open world

I do feel like you can just call it a platformer though, again I don't think that's really an uncommon thing as far as platformers go, stages add new mechanics over-time, and often that's done by giving the MC some new power/upgrade
