I think a lot of them post shit like "you're BELOW AVERAGE" if you score low because they also advertise some kind of typing course or want you to do typing practice while you watch more ads

I was going through physical documents at work this week, that were all from the 90s, most older than I am And rather than this being a normal Spooky rant about old things or w/e, I started thinking about the internet ~2011 is the breakpoint year I arrived at, anything before then is "old" anything after that is part of the modern web and our zeitgeist And that association is insane, given that is 15 years ago at this point.

But when existing on the internet, it sorta feels right to say, because when you look around *that's when everything happened, When you look at the ideas, projects, websites, and people from that era, there was still so much human-ness, sovl to be found When you dig into anything, so often it all stems from something some guy was doing in 2014-2018, or thereabouts

And I think for the generation before us, that's how they felt about the 90s, their culture, the early web, etc. Their era died in 2000-2001, and I feel like our era died during that 2020-2022 haze of time And its hard to not just feel like we're all just collectively chasing ghosts, extending the echoes of that era until some collective spark ushers in the next one and kicks things off once again

Not me, the UWaterloo physics community is talking about how a prof is basically offloading their lectures to ChatGPT, but they are doing it live

btw they are literally forcing new teachers to take classes on how to use AI in the classroom and make their materials.

Had to go to a vegan place for work, the food was fucking horrible and the taste still isn't out of my mouth even after eating a burger and eating extremely spicy peppers.

why can't western vegetarians be more like Asian vegetarians, where they make vegetables taste good instead of trying to turn vegetables into fake meat that'll never live up to the real thing

I think it's a product of their history they never really had centralized livestock that was readily available everywhere

i don't think mongolia had the luxury of being picky
Oh, mongols were picky alright. They ate red meat and turned their noses up at basically everything else

my OS professor mentioned the word "reddit" in a passing comment once and it feels like the half the class had to hold in laughter. it really is the funniest place on earth. my most sincere upvotes to all the kind strangers out there.

Was listening to a Bible study chapters Ephesians 4 and 5. Decided to read it. Got to this verse: >Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ethesians chapter 5: verse 25. Right now I am so sexually deprived (having abstinated from mastibation for the past month), that the words "Husbands, love your wives," actually caused me to be mildly arroused and think to myself "I'd like to be one of those husbands when that speech was utterred", and now I find myself envying them. People should really put a NSWF warning on the Kings James Bible Online, for particular passages. Though I suppose it is my fault, for reading a bible verse which is explictly addressed to husbands only.

The day before I took my grandmother to the airport world politics had come up in conversation. She then told me her mom/grandma told her "I wont be around for it, but in the future the world will have to fight the 'yellow plague' (China)" and i still think about it.

congrats, your company hit the post-modern tipping point
I'm dealing with Southside Electric and they are fucking retarded. They don't know how their own process works. I had to write out a document on how to type in numbers into a box because they can't figure it out. Idk if it's my support person at my company or some retards in Virginia.
