I'd love 7 it wasn't so rare to be done, let alone done well
there are no games that actually do 7
I think my answer would probably be 1 or 3 as my preference
Do you like when it's flag based, where the sum of your actions cause an outcome, or when you get to overtly choose one or the other

The game pretty much hinges on unrelated decisions you make at school
That's how I read option 4 on Max's chart kind of
Rather, I think games like you're describing also fit there
I tend to prefer either straight up linear games
or games where the branching is right at the end
