I was just going to say, if Valve and the chinese guy who made autochess came to an agreement I wonder if TFT would've taken off as much

They were also, the first that I know of, who did their beta keys through twitch drops. Which means tons of people were botting streams for codes. Which was just free marketing boost.

I will say, I give Riot some props. While they did ape the idea, the two markets were relatively low competition. There really wasnt any alternative to CS at the time Valorant launched. 2XKO released during a big drought of Team Fighters with the only exclusion being Dragon Ball (Marvel vs Capcom Infinite died before launch).

The tag fighter market obviously shifted, Marvel Tokon is out now and has its own issues. Tokon does solve some of the issues that casual players have with team games

My main issue with Valo is inevitable power creep of agent skills, and visual clutter and cc in a shooter are very very annoying.

I mostly just get tired of sweaty pvp FPS's, if I can have fun and its not discouraged then I'm into it but if I'm expected to sit somewhere and make callouts to the rest of the team I'll need a group I like to play with to not want to off myself

I swear if more fighting games added "fun modes" outside of the generic fighting game arcade/survival mode theyd be more accessible. Instead accessible in FG terms means auto combos and simple inputs

I dont mind a dumb/fisher price version of comp games. Rivals of Aether 2 is a simpler version of SSBM. Which is great, melee is a game that requires you to bust your hands

Games like this are also really really fucking annoying to play if youre in a VC
taxes games
i just think that the fact pve is much harder to do and its much easier to push out a ladder and competative angle that pvp does well

Yea, you can release the most barebones product possible and as long as you slap some esports/ranked on it then itll be taken "seriously"

I didnt play big walk, but it seems like a good iteration of friend slop. Everything post LC has just been a slightly different version of LC where you just extract loot
Dialga games
i've never liked pvp focused stuff, the only times i enjoyed it are either casual smash bros with friends or When i used to play alot of Smite/HoTs but i never played those games solo, only with friends would it be at least tolerable/fun

But yeah, it's one of the best friendslop experiences I think you can have, assuming a group size of 5-8 (everyone is free to argue about the precise ideal number)

As I see it, tiy have 3 main branches of friendslop. mass coop game (puzzle, adventure, etc), leathal company, ttt/prophunt likes
Polar_ games
I liked PvP slop, but theres too many hoops you need to jump through to enjoy it with friends (relatively same skill level, same desire to bash head into wall, etc)

I started playing MTG with friends recently, its just a nice time killer to chat over tbh. I like to imagine part of the padding in some things that grind progress to a halt are just artifical ways to allow more "chill yap mode" shit
