when you get 10 roseries for exploring a side path, I wish they didn't even bother
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 very few of them require you to annoyingly parkour into, and then reverse your steps to get out
and really i only got this in bilewater, i dont know where else this happened
the mountains , the 3 poison zones on the right of the map, lots of the lower levels with lava or the industrial sewers
idk I fel like the last ~10 hours I played were just full of them
early on (when you have less movement kit) it's better
and they give you more breakable walls or cielings to fall down
I'm not talking about getting to the top
when you go to visit the mask guys shop of the left of the mountain, or go to the central water area to get that mask shard
you get to enjoy parkouring all the way there, and then all the way out
idk, I just did those so that's what I was thinking of
???
ok, we're saying something different
I dislike side paths that require you to reverse long parkour sections to get back out
and I think in act 3 (and the end of act 2) there are a lot of sections where you do just that
are we talking about the same NPC on the mountain?
the one who lives in his shack
yes
Dialga, I think we're saying different things
I'm not saying I repeat the entire mountain when you climb it again
the mask maker
is literally at the end of his own offshoot
that is annoying parkour, that you have to slowly reverse to get back out of
it's not new
idk how it could possibly be new, unless there's some hidden tunnel exit I missed
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 it's not new
this whole path is not something you can do before you reach the top spooky, it is new
you know Leg, honestly you're right
I should have just done that more
One of the only reasons I didn't quit playing Silksong, was wanting to see how much % completion I could get by 30 hours
since I was kinda interested to see
genuinely, the game is a complete slog past the early parts of act 2, I'm happy the act 3 bosses are more fun
I don't want anyone to think I'm saying "Silksong is a bad game"
nor that it's hard
but it's designed in the most frustrating ways, that lead to waaaayyyy more backtracking, dead time, warping around, and unfun map clearing
I think them turning down most of the level hazards doing 2HP helped
but the game is filled with so much random runaround questing (on-top of the actual run-around questing)
and if that lasted 1-2 hours, sure fine
but it's lasted 10 easy at this point
Replying to TinyBomby #tinybomby I feel the opposite, just in terms of grandiose climax.
grandma silk has like no buildup at all you dont even get the name or an idea about it like you do with radiance in HK. at least lost lace actually has buildup before the fight, and the fight itself is fun and thematic
