really strange to announce the game in October 2024 with little fanfare, then shadowdrop a release date 3 weeks from launch only a few months later, with very little marketing once again
It's really shitty that yet again, their new publisher is sending them out to die

deadlock now 3 lanes ig lol
Deadlock - Map Rework Update - Steam News
Today's update introduces a reworked map layout, alongside a variety of improvements and bug fixes. [ Map Rework ] - The map has been redesigned around being 3 lanes rather than 4. This has a large range of accompanying map-wide changes regarding visuals, building layouts, pathways, neutral camps, air vents, breakables, powerup buffs, juke spots...

they're... even more spaced out
bro
they do not understand what they're even doing
the assumed meta is 1v2v1 now, with 2 junglers
which is just such a massive L
the camp layout too, I just really think they don't understand their game
yes, even with bullet drop, it should be apparent when someone is going for camps
you can't snipe it easily, but can choose to go contest
6v6
2v2v2 on each
but people assume that the two side lanes will send one to roam/jungle
lol
that's what Paragon and Smite were basically
whoever had the better junglers won
towers are too weak imo, I like that you can tower dive in dota, but they took that too far in Deadlock
there's no "safe" place early game
coupled with most characters having a "you die" ability
they can open a gank with
I do think in mobas, that "value" of a gank is also questionable, which makes it fun/interesting
if I leave mid to help you secure a kill
what is the gold swing
and to whom
yeah idk
I got what I wanted from it, and seeing the direction it's was going when I stopped, I really have no desire to play it again
Dota makes me mad, but I still always have some interest to get back in and play a couple matches
LoL I had that until they rebuilt the game from the ground up for Chinese bugmen

Warner Brothers is closing all their game studios
Multiverses killed their desire to make games ig
question will be whether the studios are able to sell the IP rights to different publishers
of if they're all fucked, since they're WB IPs
sorry, they're keeping their Hogwarts Legacy Studio for now
everything else is being closed
Do they own NetherRealms outright?
I thought they just published those games
they weren't acknowledged in the press release either way, unlike Avalanche (Hogwarts Legacy) who they mentioned cuts but not closure
