I don't understand why they shook up the AssCreed formula again, so soon after they had just reinvented the series

February is packed with other releases too though spooky

releases that people want way more

KCD2 is going to do well, but it's definietely a tier down

idk if you should only be including Triple AAA when AA or indie are overshodowing triple AAA over and over and over again recently

I think AssCreed competes more favorably with a mid-Feb release, prior to 3-4 extremely big hitters releasing

and would be able to generate its own attention, rather than being suffocated

idk, i feel like people would pass on buying it BECAUSE its right before other big releases

I really don't understand Ubi's plan with AssCreed at all

Ubi was pretty far off the rails, so they rebooted the series with Origins (decent) Then Odyssey and Valhalla were extremely good

and now they've rebooted it again, with these smaller "regional focused" games

The Iraq one didn't do great

and the Japan one is going to struggle to do better

I think there are cool obscure settings they could do, but if they want to include memorable historical NPCs to hang out with, there's a much smaller pool

look spooky, fuedal japan is a really good setting for asscreed, so much happened during sengoku jidai that you could probably milk it multiple times. but the way they're doing it is just terrible

yeah, at first I was writing off anything past 1800, but I think you could make their format work up until ~1900 depending where you set it

I think doing a pre-European Incan one would be cool... but would have the NPC problem of you couldn't have recognizable names or locations

the next game that'll make a profit are their two small games releasing this year, HoMM and Anno 117

and there are no AAA games on their roadmap (with release dates) that will be profitable
