time period and region
I think it would be hard to set a game after ~1900
lol
I think there are cool obscure settings they could do, but if they want to include memorable historical NPCs to hang out with, there's a much smaller pool
oh, 100% agree
that's next Leg
it was Iraq --> Japan --> China
but they've revealed nothing about date
many times
France, London, and Italy were done heavily in the old games
and then they did 1300s Great Britain in Valhalla
yeah, at first I was writing off anything past 1800, but I think you could make their format work up until ~1900 depending where you set it
(if you still want it to feel like asscreed)
I think doing a pre-European Incan one would be cool... but would have the NPC problem of you couldn't have recognizable names or locations
I do think we will get an AssCreed Primal at some point, as long as the series doesn't implode before then
they're getting bought by Tencent
1000%
their last profitable game was back in 2021, Far Cry 6
and before that, AssCreed Valhalla in 2020
the next game that'll make a profit are their two small games releasing this year, HoMM and Anno 117
and there are no AAA games on their roadmap (with release dates) that will be profitable
lol
Division 3 is probably coming 2026, nothing's really known about it
it's been in development hell
Polu
did you know
they greenlit a Hyperscape 2
somehow, the first game flopping and dying within 6 months
gave them the confidence to make a sequel
and they just shut down XDefiant, after <1 year
agreed, xDefiant was incredibly bad
idk how to make arena shooters "work" in 2025
but Hyperscape wasn't promising enough to warrent a 2nd chance

Posting mostly for spooky, the people behind long live the queen, for whatever reason, are trying to make more games in an expanded universe for some fucking reason.

Pika, the art for their next game...
