I'm more open to the lack of threats personally
the resource nodes being unlimited ends up not mattering as much, because you're encouraged to tear down your early game setups anyway and rebuild them when you get better tiers of miners/belts
I think having limited nodes would just encourage this more often, but ig it wouldn't work as well if you want to setup these GIANT megafactories, and due to not being able to clear terrain, dropping blueprints on new locations isn't very fun
despite not having a hostile faction though, there is a LOT of content in the game dedicated to combat tools, restorative items, and organic materials
I get that it's somewhat just to gate how exploration works, but it didn't feel fully developed either way
I do think if they made the world prettier to explore (or added more lore, rare resources, artifacts, or w/e)
then I think having no enemies would work
or only putting the minor ammount of animal mobs they have currently
idk, does that make sense
I think I mostly agree with you though
Spooky, you won't believe this, but I was just listening to a podcast about this topic
question, do you like the fixed map Dialga? where they hand crafted this one map, give 4? different start positions on the map but you eventually build everywhere
lmao Pika
no idea, it is not very consistant
hahahahahahaha
Pika
that first line
you listened to it right
I am now
post first, listen to after
only 1:30 in
I love these stupid podcasts so much

oh Leg, I played Plucky Squire today
it's a game for actual children
I was feeling it immediately, wanted to power through to get to the "real game" part
but yeah, the game is for 5 year olds
$20 I think
Somehow, Plucky Squire was $30
I'm just putting this out there
if you ever see someone say they like that game
they are mentally handicapped
it's a very good game, but it is literally for toddlers who have never played a game before
Polu sold me on UFO 50 as a concept
idk how substantial it's going to be
but it'll probably be solid enough to finish is what I'm expecting
30 bucks is a big oof
I'll wait until its on sale, sure its great though
