You don't get it spooky
people like it, but not everyone
they need everyone to buy it
otherwise it is a financial loss
yeah, FF is a perfect example
they did a modern action-RPG combat system people love
the game is a bloated mess, but no one complains about the combat not being fun

most of the big AI art communities kind of went through that too, with news being spread out between 4chan threads, Discord, reddit, forums, github issues, and all the various AI sites popping up
someone figuring out independently how to do something, but not being able to easily share it back to everyone else
Discord and Telegram are on the same level of fucked imo
4chan is bad, but at least tend to be decent at keeping an updated OP going for code projects

It's funny that they compare it to Fallout
which was a show that went exceedingly far to fit in with the universe, and worked with Bethesda on script input closely
If you mean the Brotherhood of Steel, that's the cannon direction that Bethesda wanted them to take
which; I think is stupid, but that's the lore
The last one I'll give you was probably a stupid show-forced change
The whole war origin thing is stupid in the show
but it fit in with the whole direction of Fallout, post F4 and F76
the showrunner's direction to writers and actors was they wanted to create a world, where the average intelligence was 80, and to take that into mind with everything they did
and that is pretty heavily implied to be direction/inspiration from Todd
about how to make the world fun
and imo, that works

they did change more of some of the semi-recent lore than I remembered
I think they wanted to spite Obsidion too
It can be with Bethesda's support/ideas and still be wildly inaccurate (infact, with Bethesda this is the likely outcome)
I think it feels very Fallout either way
