I think Ubisoft really was the perfect storm to gather this kind of momentum in goverment
you can release server binaries as a solution to that, but offline support in any capacity is the aim
it would apply to all future games sold in the EU
I think if you have some single player offline gamemode it skirts the regulation

I think most of the time, releasing server software and bowing out
is probably the easiest route

there is no draft bill language yet, so it's TBD on where the line is

games sold as a product count, games sold as a service or that are obviously not products are excluded
