yeah, but its insane to need to sell 500k copies to stay afloat
for a fucking indie game
I'm guessing their team was fairly large, and yeah prob no options at this point
Devolver probably injected some cash, and handled marketing, I'll lookup how big the team was
but I agree with Garbage/Pika, game was obviously ass when they demo'd it 2 years ago
So they had:
12 people full-time
3 Designers
1 animator
1.5 artists (split with coder)
1 Audio/music dude
1.5 coders (split with artist)
4 community managers and Discord moderators so 5-6 real employees, and 6-7 meme ones
Smaller than us if you count our meme employees too
oh I just saw, they also launched on xbrox and PS5, so my numbers don't consider that
so maybe 180k sales and ~$3M pre-cut

Heartbreaking Wizard with a Gun was one of the best indies of 2023. An absolute gem of a game! Super slick, great OST, gameplay loop is engaging, great character & world design and just very cool vibes… I’m sorry to all the folks at Galvanic Games. You deserved so much more…

another shitty indie//AA studio has closed
their big recent game was Alone in the Dark (released 3 months ago)
sold ~100k copies
Leg, what year did Hytale 'start' development?
I'm not an expert, but this is also something I think I see from every C# game
to the point I assume it's what Indians doing C# tutorials just tell people to do
Replying to taxes #tzfi Instead of having each component with its own internal update logic, we have systems which match entities with defined sets of components and act upon them
oh, I misunderstood the component system
ok, this is funy
