Yeah this is weird
Valve's art direction in modern Dota, Underlords, Artifact, etc.
has been terrible
I agree
compare early dota characters to recent ones (excluding TV show tie-ins)
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 compare early dota characters to recent ones (excluding TV show tie-ins)
i like the mexican.
Heroes by release
This is a list of Heroes by release. Heroes are sortable by their release date in Dota 2 and DotA Allstars.
dota2.fandom.comidk how to describe my issue with newer designs
I feel like there are these base template characters they use, that they then slap key design elements on
"this model will wear a hood"
"this model will havea crown"
honestly maybe
def easier to design skind for
but yeah, this new game, even if they polish these characters
they don't inspire much in the way of deisgn
its its free I'll try it at launch
I want to try it
but I do not suspect it will be a long lasting phijkchu game
I want a dev like valve to bring something new if they're coming out with game in a saturated genre like this
not just "it's our spin on the same generic slop" done in a generic slop-like style
but yeah, hopefully closed alpha this year, beta soon after
Hopefully it is at least tribes 3 fun to play together once
did you see the price they slapped on that Pika
$20
for the same # of maps/content
lmfao
no I did not see that
So I am never playing that again huh
I played the aplha a few more times on my own after we played
enough to fill 2 lobbies
I like tribes, hope on of the spin-offs can not fall on their face
well spooky
we can play the alpha for tribes 4 in 5 years or so
I am sure that'll be fun
lol
The Valve-Microsoft rumor is the dumbest thing possible, and it's retarded that anyone is taking is even remotely seriously
What do you mean microsoft won't buy valve for a super lowball offer
seeing people try to justify "Bloomberg is a high-brow economic publication, if they say Valve is worth $16bb they probably know more than you gamers"
$16 Billion is such a low offer it's absurd
>basically the monopoly on PC gaming
nah 16B is what its worth guys
1/10th of Roblox
Spooky, some of the cope I saw was hilarious
"no guys it come happen, maybe gabe wouldn't do it, but maybe his wife who owns part of the company would"
Microsoft selling off their game division to valve
is more likely than the reverse
yeah
I think earnings were that MS was making ~3% profit off of their entire ($80 B) game portfolio
hey, modern minecraft will finally not be dogshit
they added ai
Alexa, how do I craft a sword
"Alexa, download Jenny's mod"
I still think Valve would benefit from a strong partnership with one of the tier 1 companies
but the valid thing that's been pointed out, is that if they show that kind of favoritism, they are open to semi-legit anti-competitive lawsuits
They've been close with playstation in the past, and may be again since Sony seems to be all-in on PC gaming now
Nintendo buys valve, does not release mario games on it
I just love the idea of the top games on Steam
