If nothing else, I appreciate that the dev actually optimized filesize for his game

the game runs internally at like 360p resolution and gets upscaled

Visuals is the one thing I had zero conplaints for

A lesser dev would've had that game at 1GB or something retarded

instead of the <50mb it was

i listened to an interview from the dev and he said that because he wrote the game from scratch he was able to make the entire input->render loop take only one frame so it has lower latency that would be possible in a typical engine, so its more than just code size optimization

in that interview he predicted quick sub-30 minute speedruns, and the any% is already sub 3:30 because of the wrong warps

the fact it's progressing towards release though, after multiple group-up redesigns

I feel like there are these base template characters they use, that they then slap key design elements on

"this model will wear a hood"

a lot of the old dota units

dont have skins

like literally have one skin
