early on, people were fearmongering that once you install their anti-cheat, it is unremovable or some shit which is all nonsense, it requires to be launched at system startup and is hard to bypass, but it's not some permanant thing

Yea, I remember it being sold as a way to get around F2P cheaters at the time. It's literally meaningless since burners are so easy to get/free. I think $ is the only real anti-cheat pay wall to some degree.

I've run into the "experts" are dying thing, but for stuff like infrastructure. No one is learning Cobalt or Ruby on Rails, and I'm probably out of the loop but, most of older US infrastructure is built on these languages
