almost all the special gear i found in act 2

has been for

mages as well

its so odd

the spear from the robot in act 1 is still technically my highest damage weapon

but it has a tiny downside so i use a slightly different weapon with like -1 damage

it doesn't help so many enemies have high ac and dex

my light cleric shadowheart unironically is like almost top dps sometimes

aoe is king

The solution is for every enemy to carry counterspell

I've been counterspelled once

High level play in 5e is kinda a shit show

they should just do the divinity

Counterspell is retarded

and give half the enemies

resistance

to magic

the only area I've found like that was radiant damage

which is rare af

iirc counterspell in pathfinder was made really convoluted

Like a good 70% of creatures definitely have fire resistance or immunity

I assume it’s mostly just humanoid enemies though

Either way I’m having fun trying to minimize long resting so my martials are doing pretty good; although that’s also partly due to fear of bricking a quest by long resting

i think there's only like two things that break

due to it

but yea

it was way more fun when resources were limited

and balanced

im very glad that every puzzle with physical objects also lets you drag and drop

because i found another and i havent had to use the insert menu

so i by chance picked up two items from the prlogue, random junk items and kept them on the offchance they can be useful

and there's actually a thing where you CAN use them later, but its not even like a cool easter egg or interesting dialogue

its the most nothing dialogue possible

im happy they actually do something but its kinda idk

i also really like how one of the first very powerful items you can steal, the druid idol gives an aoe that gives you and your allies stats, but if you long rest with it in your inventory it just breaks
