I think purists who hate the anime because it is not like the manga are cringe, especially if the things they changed are honestly objectively good choices, or make more sense for an anime than adapting the manga 1 to 1

There is a subset of people who think faithful adaptation = good anime/show/movie

this is a long standing argument, where there are easy counterexamples as to how this is not true and you can completely ignore the source material and make something that on its own is worthwhile

Specifically I’m referring to people who are in anime only threads saying stuff like “oh yeah the next episode is gonna be good” or “I’m so glad to see that frame animated”

I haven’t watched an anime live in a long time but I assume they’re still doing that

Ousama Ranking is a good show. While we were in VC last night, I started it and.. binged the entire show and finished it today.

Man, that was a good show

S1 was peak, it started to meander a little in the middle but came back around by the end

It's also just, a really creative show with its characters/setup

this show originally had 7 days until episode 2 and now its jumped to 12

this first episode needs a a v2 because of some really stupid sub errors

the opening scene has a page of text with the translation sitting halfway off the screen so you can't read it

My street cred is ruined
