In canadia we do 4 english for comparison sake
I took highschool english 1 in ninth grade, then highschool english 2
then I did college english 1 and 2 which also count for english credits at the highschool level
Since college classes are only one semester, I just got them in one year (they're one credit each) rather than 2
so i did those junior year, didnt take english senior year
alright, i have been up sionce 6 am for said exam
So this is my point, your high school *RAN OUT OF CIRRICULUM* in 10th grade
so night all
night Mint
nope
goodnight mint
they pawned you off on a college
If I hadn't taken college english, I would've gotten my credits through either taking basic english 3 and 4, or AP english junior and senior year
to take college courses
gn fam
That's just not right lol
I chose to go to it
I could've stayed at my school to take highschool levels but I wanted college credits lol
I think you're missing my point
if a schoo ldoesn't have a rigorous enough cirriculum
there's something wrong
if people are pursuing higher education in 10th grade
How my university hangled transfer credits, at least witht he one couse I knew of, was the earth and space science course got you a 1st year astro credit at the university of waterloo, but you had to take an extra (optional) exam that was harder
yeah
That's not really what it is though, it's more that we're just given the option to go higher if we wanted
I can agree with that spooky
Most students just take english 3 and four at the highschool
Some students take dual enrollment ENC1101/ENC1102, or AP english lang and AP english 3 and 4
tbh I thought highschool was a joke even with like 5 AP classes
I slept through my senior year
Their more rigorous curriculum is that you have the option of taking AP or college classes
HS should be a joke you do not get to nontrivial topics until like year 4 of university at the earliest
and still got all 4s and 5s
(one 2 on AP english but we don't talk about that)
Thats okay bopit
I failed my musical composition class
What
only class I failed in HS
how ):
I took it as an elective
I love my music classes
damn this idiot doesnt even know his scales
I mean I still probably got an A in the class
just did shit on the AP test
I have a problem with most HS curriculums, not jsut your Lamp
yours is very obviously out of whack
the class was basically -know how to play guitar/piano or you fail
but the problem is everywhere
That's unfortunate
I guess the problem I have is that your arguments just seem flawed lol
Idk, the canadian system splits most classes into 2-3
at minimum a path for retards and one for people who can actually do the material
Yeah that's pretty much how it is
it's not though
And the "class for people that can do the material" is AP or dual enrollment
if you're taking COLLEGE courses
It is though
They're basic level college courses
did you really learn that much in english one your freshman level year of college?
To be fair spooky, 1st year college is basically grade 12 review usually for most classes
at least the ones I took
is a joke though
I'm sure you've talked to your professors Pika, and they bemoan having to teach lower level stuff people should have already seen
also you learn 0 things in first year of college
I have not
except maybe Calc II
I never go to office hours so I do not talk with profs much
also you learn 0 things in first year of college"""
despite them serving a purpose, I feel their resentment for recieveing unprepared students
also they usually force 1st year classes on grad students
This exactly lol
which is what the lower tracks in high school pump out
I'm sorry that lots of students are fucking dumb?
and you need to do the higher tracks to get accepted
at least at UW
you cannot take the non high level versions of each course
There has been a quality drop though
