I get really bothered with the idea of people buying me lots of black socks. It does NOT make it easier to find a pair.
When you are given a variety of socks, you can instantly know when you have a matching pair or not
But if they're all mostly black, I spend so much time staring at them, searching for brand markings, comparing sizes, checking if all the frills are exactly the same when they're inside out and not inside out, and heaven help me if one sock in a pair has lost it's elasticity.
You should unironically embrace wearing noticeably mismatched socks, assuming you're otherwise well-dressed

this fat kid in my graphics lab was stimming doing a typing speed test. he got like 66 wpm. it was that fake easy one with all lowercase and no symbols too. genuinely had to hold in my laughter.
don't all those tests even sorta tell you that you suck if you score low
