It gets in the way of police bullets. In Australia you're not allowed to carry ANYTHING that can potentially be used as a weapon unless you have a legitimate reason. Self Defense is explicitly not a legitimate reason. A man had to go to court and say he needed his belt to keep his pants up, before being allowed to use it.
It's weird hearing that the Bondi shooting is international news. Not as weird as hearing the Christchurch shooting in New Zealand becoming a global news story.
I remember thinking. Since when the fuck does anyone in the world care about what happens in New Zealand? New Zealand is Australia's Canada (and no one cares about what happens in Canada). And Australia's already the Canada of the south pacific, which means New Zealand is the Canada of a Canada.

I get really bothered with the idea of people buying me lots of black socks. It does NOT make it easier to find a pair.
When you are given a variety of socks, you can instantly know when you have a matching pair or not
But if they're all mostly black, I spend so much time staring at them, searching for brand markings, comparing sizes, checking if all the frills are exactly the same when they're inside out and not inside out, and heaven help me if one sock in a pair has lost it's elasticity.
You should unironically embrace wearing noticeably mismatched socks, assuming you're otherwise well-dressed
