I think for a lot of them it's grandstanding, they don't have a strong actual reaction so they compensate by doing something performative
and maybe they've had underlying desires to private/remove stuff. This can be a blanket excuse, not saying it is in htis particular siutation

If you just need someone to ensure you don't get yourself in worse trouble at an interrogation or bail hearing, you get some hourly rate on a junior attorney at a firm. It's not all that complicated and it's not a commitment/retainer situation.

The "looking up Epstein Files and innocently..." I have no idea how he thinks that the federal government is just dumping CP on their servers to the public and if Guude did look the CP up himself, that's literally all on him
