so, when you show up to your bail hearing, you don't actually need a lawyer to represent you, nor do you need one to work with the bail bondsman for you if you can't afford one, you can have an appointment of council before then, and you might as well do it then

but most people (who don't have a lawyer/firm in their contacts already) will need to go out and price out what they can afford and what their defense direction is going to be, and that's not something thats super easy to figure out while in jail

im really not familiar with this but most of these charges usually end in plea no? 10 counts though wont be hand waved away. I'd guess 15 year maybe?

imo 10% , this is the tip of the iceburg, and Guude will kill himself 65% , Guude is guilty of the charges but not much beyond that, he will plea out and get 5 years + sex offender status for life 10% , Guude has a case and can convince Jess/family he is innocent, he will likely plea out for 1 year + sex offender status 15% , Guude is genuinely innocent and views his life as being over if he doesn't fight this and win in court

I think for a lot of them it's grandstanding, they don't have a strong actual reaction so they compensate by doing something performative
and maybe they've had underlying desires to private/remove stuff. This can be a blanket excuse, not saying it is in htis particular siutation

If you just need someone to ensure you don't get yourself in worse trouble at an interrogation or bail hearing, you get some hourly rate on a junior attorney at a firm. It's not all that complicated and it's not a commitment/retainer situation.

If you get arrested, you don't get to call a time out so your attorney can research the facts and caselaw involved in your area of criminal law.

Guude being exonerated , but then in the process it being outed that he was talking to an underage fan and they have to apologize for the cp stuff but then cancel him a second time
