agree, I don't think Rob was setting out to be manipulative or to scam people
The only time I've ever felt like Rob was scamming anyone, was a year or two ago, when he did his first wave of DvZ streams, very explicitly to extract money from his fans

Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 super late responding, but imo one of Rob's best skills early on was in designing and balancing game systems, why I thought he would make a good video game designer when he wanted to do that When URealms became less about the game and was just a show, he started changing systems to ones he directly controled, because he was focused on the meta narrative above all else
