Dialga, imo there's very little the federal government (in this case congress) can do to foster economic growth

most of that comes from the state government

federal government is choosing what to spend federal tax dollars on, most of which is not going to spur on economic growth

The government can try incentivize it though

dialga the federal reserve actively causes inflation, which makes people poorer

military spending technically encourages buying from weapons manufacturers etc.

and I guess I should be somewhat charitable, there is money going to people in ways that increases their purchasing power, food stamps etc.

but very little is long term growth stuff

most of that is state-level

the government actually does do a lot, but it's state/local programs that spur growth

the regulatory agencies can tone down the regulations to let private companies prosper

the biggest thing the federal government has done recently is the Chips act, building that one TSMC fab near you ironically Dialga
