I think it is questionably useful if you are not expecting at least a dozen days during the season where every single road has ice on it. I think having everyone have them on does statistically lower accident rates under those conditions

Basically every study I see says that the main time winter tires work best is in like -20 to -30 conditions, which would make sense why I am more in favour of them since that is like 20-25% of our winter's

how do you crash or spin out a dozen times
1. Spun out driving the Seney stretch during a snowstorm. 2. Spun out driving where Mint lives cuz they suck at cleaning up their roads. Fuck you mint. 3. Crashed into our garage a little bit trying to get into the driveway. 4. This can be maybe a dozen times but the driveway ices over and my car would sometimes slide back into the road and we'd have a pile up sometimes. 5. Crashed into a snowplow after it cleaned out a parking lot but didn't put dirt down yet, destroyed windshield, A frame, and hood. Engine was fine. 6. Same thing as 5, but bonked a car while parked. 7. Slammed a snow bank while doing donuts. 8. Couldn't make it up Bridge St (big hill) and skidded into a snow bank going up. 9. Skidded into a stop sign. Uhh.. well, that's 9, it's basically a dozen.
