I slip into it the most with Mint and Mini

idk if I normally read things in people's voices though

I don't remember what mint sounds like

polu has a very distinct voice in my head but I never imagine it when reading his messages for some reason

I can read pika polu and spooky messages in their voices for sure, maybe fire, and garbage

My brain autofills the pirate background psionic attack when reading his messages.

Virginia/DC has once again been defeated by snow

and for me its a high of 71

We got a bit of snow today

Nothing sticked where I am

We have some snow, but not enough for it to be worth noting

probably only like 5cm or something

Snow stuck in the morning, melted at noon, and now it's sticking again

2 inches is still annoying in states where snow tires aren't legal

Its not going to melt here, since its dropping back to -17 this week

well leg, luckily plows will clear it instantly and everyone has snow tires here

How can snow tires be illegal

I can understand it if there is literally never snow and it is not cold. Snow tires are not good for your car in those conditions

snow tires also make very little difference in high snow, its more a slipping on ice thing

yeah studes are usually illegal everywhere but probably alaska or something

those though actually help with snow

but you cant take those on hard road surfaces on the other hand

They are useful on ice. You will not get a perfect stop, but it does decrease how long you slide before stopping

from what I've seen/know

studded tires obviously will give you the best results though, because that is just how the physics of it works

it's just more of a "these tires are not going to really change anyone's skill, driving in snow"

Chains are required on I-70 across Colorado when there's snow 😔 I can't drive on it

I think it is questionably useful if you are not expecting at least a dozen days during the season where every single road has ice on it. I think having everyone have them on does statistically lower accident rates under those conditions

nope havet for my new car yet

and only had them on my last car for like the last year of having that car

Basically every study I see says that the main time winter tires work best is in like -20 to -30 conditions, which would make sense why I am more in favour of them since that is like 20-25% of our winter's

although dented my car today bring forced into a snow bank after some snow sucked me in towards the edge of my road

small dent under pasanger mirror, that snowbank was hard as ice

I feel like the average person should get into <1 major accident every 5 years

but near misses or small things, maybe 2/year
