4 weeks in nunavut is insane
if he hasn't killed himself and actually makes it to Toronto, I'll be lk surprised
that's more the vibe I get
a 1/5th life crisis, where he's following istagram advice to go "see the world" with no concept for wtf to do
I think he is making the mistake of "remote" means better nature to explore, when the reality is nunavut is a shithole
like Halifax, he know's NOTHING about the province
fuck, I knew more random facts about it than he did
he knew it was sorta an island, and they probably had fish there
he doesn't even really do camping/hiking shit
Only thing I could list off the top of my head for Halifax is he should check out the harbour, thats probably one of the more famous locations therw
like I've gone on more multi-day hikes than he has
and only done it 3-times
He is going to die in nunavut
parents kind of expect him to come home after a week in Nova Scotia
"once he gets this out of his system"
Honestly, just a week vacation in nova scotia is probably a decent vacation
its nice enough and on the water
it was really funny talking to him about it
and I'm telling him what the landmarks are, and what things there are to do, telling him the history of it being; essentially, New New England
compared the the US
and he 's like "I bet they have fish there"
Spooky I should try to meme prepare the equivalent 5 month trip through the US
lmao
do it
arizona desert for 4 weeks is my replacement for nunavut
good thing for all the Canadians though, because he's flying to NS, he won't have any of his guns with him, originally I thought he was going to drive up and do some off-road hunting in Nunavut
if he did, I was predicting quite the news story once he snapped
He'd get turned around at the border most likely
lol, Pika
they don't check shit at the border
they wave you through
it's not like a formal immigration checkpoint
This was under the assumption that he'd be retarded enough to just have a rifle visible in the back seat
oh, no not that dumb
Spooky if you drop everything and join him, you could meet 2 phijkchu, 1 ex phijkchu, and someone I cannot name
and like 10 of the new joiners :kappa
yeah, unirronically zero interest in that though
srry bby
Its the worst way to explore Canada, so I don't blame you
Pika, I look forward to your US trip itinerary
you should make it a joint venture, for you+xbrox
hit all the best states
Where in Europe would you even move Mint?
so I said germany, but my family says that's the worst choice. including my family that lives in austria part time now. they are the ones who have lived in czechia for a while now, so they have also been learning german now. I started learning german for work, we all were advised to study up on other languages, lots of my old parent company coworkers are multilingual. this new parent company is just a giant global company so the language learning thing still applies. that's part of the reason. it will work for my resume to have foreign experience, langues, culture etc. that's just how cybersecurity is. so my second choice is austria, but idk, I just would rather do Germany. Czechia is awesome but my family lives there already so I have reasons to travel there, not live there, plus the language is much harder. so third choice is Netherlands probably, dutch shouldn't be too hard to transition to
I feel like the "small town" feel of Germany or France is better in the East, Poland or Romania or w/e
German cities would be a hard no lmao
If I had to pick somewhere to live in mainland Europe, I'd end up in Croatia more than likely
but I also have zero desire to move to Europe tbf
