Even disregarding soul, the hormonal/chemical environment in your body heavily changes your thoughts and emotions
This is the reason I believe people who take drugs are insane

So Pika, if you accept that the instantaneous 'you' is constantly dying, what is the value in protecting your brain, versus shaping it into how you think best serves future 'you'

I believe in minimizing the measured distance between instanced changes when possible

scenario, you get shot in the head by an Indian, you lose 2% brain matter but survive the most anyone around you notices has changed about you is you now like smooth foods, your self-analysis seems to check out as well, no new defects , etc.

I would fundementally not accept that my self-analysis checking out is accurate. I do not think I can fundementally know the state of my mind and how consistant it was to its pre damaged state

can you evaluate the changes I guess is my question, versus the knowledge you had of what prior you is like
Regardless of my evaluation, it fundementally cannot be trusted is my point. Even if per my own evaluation I am 100% equivalently the same, I cannot know or trust that analysis to be true.

brain tumor treatment, they come to you and ask what mm cutoff you're willing to accept surrounding the tumor close shave 1mm risks cancer coming back 90% of the time large cut 5mm lowers that risk to 10%
