I did my undergrad in mathematical physics

that is the only other publically announced PhD
started doing CS and realized i hate it as a career path, especially how it was taught at my school
like i would have done research in it but i don’t like ml lol

when I was applying for my masters, I applied for both physics and applied math, and I did get an offer from a condensed matter prof at my school who tried to snipe me early when he saw my application
but I did not want to do condensed

um i’ve done it a bit and it’s not something that really interests me
i kinda like programming
i wouldn’t want to do it or think about it full time though
So like what if light pulses and that causes the vibrations that would be cool, and then those vibrations are strings some how, IDK how that works, and those strings make up shit like positrons and photons, which will make up protons. they can all decay, but it takes a real long time because our universe is like full of energy or something. but like after a long enough time everything will slow down.

Interestingly my quantum prof was showing us some of his research where you can use the paraxial helmholtz equations as an analogue to a 2d schrödinger equation
