I am doing both from an applied math perspective, so way more functional analysis and what not than application

when I was applying for my masters, I applied for both physics and applied math, and I did get an offer from a condensed matter prof at my school who tried to snipe me early when he saw my application
but I did not want to do condensed

My statmech course was taught by an asshole, so I was not the biggest fan of that course
