tho i play sekiro like 2-3 times a month

so way more then most

it is easy!

i just dont like phase 3

and i havent played in like half a year!

you really didnt like the juzou-style mini-bosses

i stand by the

seven spears-style midbosses are way harder

than juzou style

7 spears are so easy, you just deflect and mikiri counter

there is no mini boss id call hard

tho that’s probably from learning all their patterns and having them ingrained into my hands

i would say first run or 2 it was o rin

even after multiple NG+s

when they do their long mikiri it tricks my brain

because every single other one

is similar except that one

even the shinobi hunters have delayed ones sometimes but theyre still easier than the seven spears version

it doesnt help that there's only two? one at the start but one at the end

shinobi hunters you can lock into a pretty easy pattern

everything else you get lots of time to test them/get used to them

do u use high monk or r u cringe and use some dumb special

but seven spears you dont get to see their move sets much and their thrusts are a little weird timing wise

im a double ichimonji/mortal draw

yeah you gotta kinda hesitate

high monk is just reskinned jump

but way cooler

ik high monk is op tho

honestly the weirdest mikiri counter timing is the spear monks

they like jump to the side and come from a weird angle

which makes it hard to counter sometimes

those guys die in like two hits

but they thrust from a weird angle

and there’s like 10 of them at a time

theres only like 5 of them in the game and like every situation they show up theyre with like 10 more enemies

it’s just the circumstances you fight them in

especially with the uneven ground of early senpou temple

isshin with the spear used to be hard but tbh all you gotta learn is not attacking till he deflects

if you only track twice you’ll have time to deflect the back air slash

deflect the bullets into the counter or jump

isshin with spear is easier than his phase 1 with sword
