but they're toning how gutting it is.... a little
I don't get why no one else throws their hat in the grand strategy ring
I'd say effort but lmao paradox
the few indies I've seen have had a laughably unreachable scope
risk more likely
but it seems like a team of 20 devs could churn out something from scratch to at least challenge Paradox
I thought that too
but there are 4 Paradox games in the top 100 on Steam at any given time
3 in the top 30 usually
CK3 is the lowest of those
HOI > Stellaris > EU4
in terms of playercount
and in that video they said it was the reverse for $$$
and making mods that out shine the devs
it's like bethesda, got to mod the games to fix them
watch out though
that means they're going to milk hoi4 with more DLC
again?
haven't they already done poland?
really?
I know they haven't touched italy of all things
is ck3 still just "lmao invade the other side of the map"?
CK3 is so lacking in content
it's just depressing
I know it's not supposed to be full meme like CK2 is
but there are just no systems in that game outside of the dynasties/characters
and I feel way more hamstrung than I did in CK2 based on arbitrary "balance" decisions
I forgot to post this when it was uploaded
neat video
Replying to Dialga #god_of_time is Ck3 not good? i was planning on buying it eventually
It's still REALLY bare-bones,
It's still fun for a while, but between being pretty basic and having as many bugs/glitches as it does is frustrating
events fire off that don't do what they say they're going to do, and will royally fuck your runs up
yeah, that's not a mortal sin by any means
it's more that after you get into the dynasty system (improved from CK2 imo)
there's nothing else there right now
even vanilla EU4 had more back in 2014
I think Imperator was worse on launch, but part of that is I HATE the way they did the pop system
and I was salty about there being no variation AT ALL between different nations
including Rome
that's Rome's actual fatal flaw for me
lack of different government types besides default and tribal
Is it on sale now that they dropped their first piece of DLC?
it's probably "worth" it in all honesty
I'm just frustrated how bare it is, after 10 fucking years of CK2
and it's a MASSIVE step back
other than the map size
you'll still notice how bare it is, but it might not annoy you as much as me then
How are the mods for it? I know like all the big ck2 ones jumped over to 3
granted it'll be a bit longer before they get far
I've only played the big ones
right now it's nice because there's only been one update
but after more come.... they might fall off updating
