if you fix those, you gain another 50FPS
this kind of stuff was found within hours of launch, and is just baffling
and tells me, they're supposed to run all platforms in parity
no, more likely that Sony/Microsoft paid them to keep it competitive on PS5 vs PC
you know, even I know that's not true
as much as I meme, idk why these simple community fixes that are found in an afternoon
aren't just immediately rolled into the game
you know what it probably is Bopit
the "master" copy of the game they gets worked on, is probably on console
and the PC edits to that have obviously been a low-priority leading into launch with some console platforms just straight up not working
not that I'm trying to excuse it, but it's clear to me this game needed another few months
it's been in development for 8 years, at some point you need to cut your losses and put it out there
as much as I'll bitch and moan about performance and bugs, the game is still a lot of fun
and content wise, complete enough that I don't feel like I'm being short-changed
there are systems that have obviously been removed, and others that are underdeveloped
but there's so much in the game still
well like here's an example Bopit
cars
there was obviously originally a system like in GTA where you can steal cars and save them at a garage/chop shop
there's a different system in-game now for how to collect cars
but it's clearly been tacked on at the end
As someone who really likes the Witcher, the jank is not that much worse than W2 or W3
it is frustrating that a lot of the same problems on release with those games seem to be back
>charge more than full price
you know what it is Bopit
if they stuck to their November release date
it'd be fine
because there'd be a month of pre-holiday patches that would roll out quickly
with the December release though, unless they're going to give PC patches separately, we're going to have to wait for consoles, which won't happen until January
I'd rather they just release the game like they did
I'm tired of early access bullshit
the bugs aren't really that bad
it's the performance and it's 1-2 issues
issue #1) RedEgnine really struggles with looting things, 1-2% of loot on the ground just can't be picked up
issue #1.5) There needs to be a better way to see loot, other than using scan mode
Both of these were problems in Witcher 3 on launch, that got fixed
issue #2) key rebinding
some things can't be rebound well, but modders have been able to
90% of keys can be rebound
but some of the combos can't
it's only some of them
but yeah, idk how they don't let you rebind some things
this is also a problem they've had before, that can be fixed
but honestly, those are my two problems with the game
even if you can't rebind
I want to disable
the fucking dodge dash
I'll rebind that shit to F12
