@everyoneHarbour Masters Port of Banjo Kazooie, Lighthouse, ReleasedAttention Jiggy fans! That's right, the day is finally upon us: Lighthouse, the Harbour Masters port of
Banjo Kazooie, is now available! I know I'm cutting it close, but I hope you'll agree it was worth the wait.
Key Points
- Vanilla is 100% completable.
- - Note and Jinjo retention are in, but disabled by default. However, the processes run in the background anyway, so retention is toggleable at any time.
- Comes with the standard high-res and interpolation enhancements, as well as many initial BK-specific ones for you to discover!
- This also includes the first use of the built-in gamepad mapper! Ever had a controller not be recognized by the game, or be not fully working or improperly mapped? Well, you can fix that yourself now, and right within the game.
- - This process creates a custom mapping file that doesn't get overwritten with subsequent game updates, and when this gets implemented in other ports, the custom mapping file will be compatible with just copy-pasting it into those ports folders.
## Anchor
Anchor co-op with vanilla is fully completable, though obviously not
everything could be tested.
- In addition to Mr Vile previewed in the trailer, the final Grunty fight is also fully synced.
- No minigames or bosses, other than those two, are synced. Yet.
- Breakables (MMM gates and windows) and puzzle steps (BGS Croctus, TTC treasure hunt), and many more small things are all fully synced and live-react.
- As with other games, room setting retention is a thing, however, if you want to keep the same room, all you need to do is hover over the slot you want to load in file select and click Clear All Team States in the Anchor menu before loading the save.
## Randomizer
Version 1.0 of randomizer is already included. Right now, that includes shuffling all empty honeycombs, notes, jinjos and jiggies amongst each other, as well as the molehills/moves among themselves.
- Rando co-op works, but currently requires making a seed, saving and quitting to create a save file, then sharing that file with people.
## Romhacks
As teased, we do have romhack support. Not every supported hack has been fully tested, so there may be some issues, but we're pretty confident in the ones that don't add any custom code.
- You'll have to make a pre-patched ROM for each romhack you want to use, which you can then extract using the Romhacks menu. As such, as mentioned in the preview channel, it will still require having a US 1.0 ROM to play them.
## Thanks
Special thanks to the decomp and recomp teams, who have helped a lot with our understanding of various parts of the codebase for this.
ChannelsLighthouse now has its own downloads and support channels and category for everything else, so make sure to enable them in your Discord settings.
