idk, the lead of to this was quite something. when they originally pushed the play test for it i saw they were still using the current models, current voice lines, and making users pay to unlock champions in the mode. theyve since reverted most of that. I just cant tell if it was incompetence, greed, or general laziness that had them do that
The put this mode together in 3-6 months is what I've seen
and yeah, it's honestly really poorly done
they've walked back the really shitty parts, but the core is just, not actually Classic League
many of the champs have random kids assembled from anytime between S2 and S8
on-top of including the fan-favorite modern champs anyway
invis and dodge were not actually added, so they don't work
and the remade versions of the classic assets (skins, voice lines, etc.) are just chinky enough that they lose most of their nostalgia
you can tell some people making it cared, but it's WAY WAY worse than the fanmod that got shutdown
and my read on this is that they underestimated the interest, this is only running through September, and then they're going to take it away
so idk what their plan with it even is now

I understand the the idea that just capturing a snapshot of a patch would be kind of boring for some people. So I think the mish-mash of "strongest kit" for each champion is an ok idea. Im glad its everything Pre-Yasuo at least.

I was gonna say, I saw a lot of people saying "oh they lost the files actually" when thats extremely retarded since there were multiple attempts at a fan mod server

I disagree completely, there's no reason not to revert to original kits 1:1

the combat is so bad
it feels like a bad Korean action MMO
on-top of the extraction mechanic being goofy
you have to go to a specific area, call a bell bug, then chase it to ring it, then wait for its ring to summon a portal only 2/3 of your team can go through
