I think all modern 3rd person combat systems we get now are one of:
dodge spam - Soulslike systems
cinematic attack spam - Spectacle fighters, muso games, and stuff like Batman
flashy parry systems - Sekiro, etc.
ik there are a couple others that fall into that
where it's fast and is more rhythm based
There's less than 1 AAA game a year that I even feel compelled to call good
Expedition 33, Wukong, Baldurs Gate 3, and before that probably Death Stranding 1
and most of those other than Death Stranding, are just getting by on production value
the game underneath is pretty basic

I miss games where they just kind of accepted that the combat systems was to serve some other part of the game (usually story)
and didn't need to be these le epic encounters
doubt people care, but free real? Steam game
ik this wasn't the first Simulator game, but it's one of the major early ones
and it was decent in its time

Fanatical bundles should have some sort of pitty system
they're probably still the best *real* game lottery site, but their key pools are sorta a mess
I finished Rogue Legacy 2's super bosses
I think the post game stuff is way better than the first games, but there are just winning strats that are objectively way better

uh, if you don't own many games, you'll probably get something playable
issue is a lot of the "wins" are good indie games from 5-10 years ago
so higher odds its something you've already played/tried
as far as the odds of winning a new $70 game, probably 0.1-0.5%
idk if they publish odds anywhere

to give you the odds from the recent one
nothing high price though
when I've done them I'd say the odds are (and adjusted value)
<1% Big AAA game ($60)
5% A recent indie game ($15)
15% A well-reviewed older indie game ($5)
20% An older indie game, that you've probably heard of ($2.50)
20% Some weird experimental game with <1,000 lifetime sales ($1)
40% Filler trash ($0)
yeah, that's my problem too
I also just don't want a bunch of trash in my library
if I win dogshit, I tend to not even claim it
Act 10 of Crimson Desert is so tonally absurd

I hate how many games got vita exclusive content, but I always had a soft spot for the console itself
Japan loves version exclusive content and such, but they've mostly reigned it in now
and everyone makes fun of the few games left with 10 different editions like DQ11
