Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 idk if it's better or worse mechanically, there were more mechanics but it felt broadly the same and they still sorta ignored the whole "legacy" part of the original concept, just like 1 did (edited)
Rogue Legacy 2 has a bunch of different classes that have different weapons and actually play differently compared to 1 where everyone has a sword. Yes, 1 has different classes, but they don't feel that different from one another really.
I am vaguely close to beating it
Going to be honest, I am not reading anything
I am just playing it

there were still only a couple classes that were actually different though, most abilities and weapons were pretty minor
maybe if you played at a high level it mattered more, but clearing areas played mostly the same
(minus the few unique ones)
The chef with the unlockable alt weapon is the most op one I've used so far
I got that weapon randomly one run from one of the swap weapon things, and just instantly cleared 2 bosses
I also remember not "beating" 2, but getting to a point where I felt like it was good enough and being done
compared to 1 where I definitely 100%'d it, and then did a bunch of challenge runs up untul every mob would one-shot me unless I chesse farmed as a lich
I did not 100% 1, but I got close
I never finished grinding out the super version of the boss fights
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak evidentally I do like rogue legacy 2
Somehow, I am within .1 hours of the first game right now by coincidence
I want to go back to the castlevania arc at some point
I have to look up what the fuck to actually do in Simons Quest though
ok Pika, apparently I finished 2-3 hours past wherever you are now
based on my achievements
You probably did the green area I would guess
that is what I am slowly working towards now
I remember feeling like I was pretty happy with where I left it, so this part is either really good or it sucks
lmk
will do
All these games are distracting myself from finishing spyro 3, because I fucking hate it
but I am so close to 100%ing it...

Spyro 3 is literally my childhood. No idea why we owned only that one. My dad always thought it was the first game for some reason, so I thought the same until I looked into it.
Replying to TinyBomby #tinybomby This is literally the only 3D platformer I've played.
???
yeah
its a 3D platformer collectathon
Tiny, to describe spyro, 1 is pretty good with solid level design, 2 has worse level design and adds too many things that take away from the experience of 1, and 3 is 2 but level design flips from worse to just outright bad
that is what you missed out on
Anyways tiny just for you if the cirno game is ever on sale for over 50% off I'll pick it up
and can be the 2nd and only other touhou game I'll play to completion other than the best one
Tiny, to be fair, the worst 3d mario game is still an S tier game
so you still played a very good game
That ones my favourite

Also yeah the game really isn't worth the price tag. It's pretty much 1 hour long. I have 5 hours because I completed the two challenge achievements, which are a speedrun achievement and a "don't use a main ability" achievement.
If you go buy a switch 2 you can play Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury for the Nintendo Switch 2 family of consoles with me and polu

Hozy
After things don’t quite work out in the big city, you return to your small hometown. Once lively, it now feels a little faded and forgotten. In that stillness, you discover something unexpected: a new passion. Room by room, space by space, you clean, paint, and gently restore the sense of community that once filled these streets. Hozy is…
