focus on stealth gameplay first and design every level around someone stealthing it
I'd kill for an actual stealth game
it just can't be that though
the power fantasy of AC is too strong

I like map clearing to a point, but it doesn't work well with being an assassin
esp with how small settlements are
I really don't like modern Hitman, but idk why Ubisoft saw that being successful and doubled down even harder on removing stealth and assassinations, from their assassin game
From what I saw of AC Japan
every encounter was meant to be steamrolled via brawling with the black guy
anyway, I'm sad now that we're not getting another American AC game
it's a good setting

HoMM: Olden Era just dropped their demo
it's a good return to form, but I sorta wish it built off of Songs of Conquest a bit more
SoC felt like HoMM 3.5, this is just 3 remade
which for absolute boomers, maybe is what they wanted
but it plays a LOT slower than I think it should
(also please for the love of God add a drop shadow on the overworld)
gets a tentative Spooky thumbs up though for now
