better than what they're doing rn
did anyone play the last 2 asscreed games
Iraq and Japan?
everyone I've heard who played it said iraq was fine
I was sorta looking forward to a smaller game
but idk, something about it just seemed sorta dull
so I never gave it a shot
I just wanted more Odyssey
Vikings was ehh
well, I probably actually wanted the original style of game back
but those are long gone
their modern open world thing is fun enough, especially when they fill it with every relevent historical character possible
the lvl-based combat is dumb
I agree
I figured for a shorter game it might be less bad
since there's less padding
idk how you fix asscreed mechanically
other than redoing the entire (modern) combat design
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 idk how you fix asscreed mechanically
gated open world
new combat system
focus on stealth gameplay first and design every level around someone stealthing it
I'd kill for an actual stealth game
it just can't be that though
the power fantasy of AC is too strong
starting in what, Unity? suddenly huge swarms of enemies became no threat

they still respected stealth
of course
one of them might drop your cloak of +10 dmg
purple rarity
I like map clearing to a point, but it doesn't work well with being an assassin
esp with how small settlements are
I really don't like modern Hitman, but idk why Ubisoft saw that being successful and doubled down even harder on removing stealth and assassinations, from their assassin game
From what I saw of AC Japan
every encounter was meant to be steamrolled via brawling with the black guy
