They will probably just force publishers to change their EULAs so they aren't so encompassing
I actually think the EU will enforce this, effective date will be something like 2028 by the time it gets agreed to and give devs ample time to prepare

Though ofc I wish it was. I do not spend money on free mobile games but there are a few I enjoyed that are now lost.
All I have now is memories... and I can't say I 'completed' the game
the number of mobile games that were deleted from existence is insanely high
especially since ios and andoid version changes breaking 99% of them

Basic TL;DR is they want the EU to relgulate that games cannot be sold in the EU without an end of life plan (so you can't make a game, then it bricks in 6 months being unplayable after you shut the servers off)
and they want all games that are being "sold" to not use the word sell if you are just getting access to a liscence that can be revoked
Fix's include them releasing the server binaries so dedicated people could figure out how to self host, remove any always on drm they might have had in place stopping an otherwise playable game from working, etc
it is literally only benificial, pirate software being a blizzard nepo baby who uses DRM for his undertale ripoff that is never coming out, is very against this

He also was apart of a an indie publisher, offbrand games. Specifically he was the Director of Strategy. He, just the other day, left citing that people where attacking and review bombing their games over him. As far was review bombing, only his shitter game that isn't published under offbrand was getting it.
I also assume that connection was the potential conflict of interest people would bring up, more so than his crappy unfinished game
Also I saw a video on that, and the review bombing literally did not happen
and them complaining about it caused a positive review counter bomb despite there being no uptick in negative reviews
I have only ever heard of this person through people shitting on him for various different reasons
