well it's sort of kind of like an rts game? I say that in the sense of it being a "watch your giant blob of units fight with an equally giant blob of units" but this game is also kind of turn-based, like you select your king and you have a specific set of cards that you can get from your guy but every turn just about you get to choose another card which could be one of your own or one of the ones from the king you just waged war against

My umbrage with deltarune is that it'd be like undertale, where all of my fellow autists have already thoroughly explored and documented the content of the game and I have consumed that media while I wasn't playing it. so when I actually go to play it, none of it would be a surprise to me and most of the story beats would fall super flat
Im somewhat glad the game is released in parts because it stretches the longevity in the games discussion. Im sure if deltarune released with all chapters it would've been finished by most in a week or so and the game would become like that. I think the ongoing discussion between chapters is fun.
