I really hate SRPG Studio games. I get it if you're not good at making games, like with RPG Maker, but gosh I just feel like it looks ugly and controls poorly.

I had the same issue with Vestaria Saga, which is why I sadly never finished it.
oh, I've actually played that one too,
yeah the pure SRPG makerism of Vestaria Saga are ROUGH
those are the guys who made the engine right
yep, though idk what their roadmap is for the engine now
they released a Vestaria Saga 2 a couple years ago, that had some improvements
but idk if they're sticking with it, or just keeping it on backburner life support
I actually own it, you can do a lot with it but after a certain point you just might as well be making your own game system instead
The Tactics Ogre remake is the only other recent SRPG I can think of

the game is boardgame adjacent, and as Polu and I were bitching about in vc the other day for some reason modern boardgames have normalized having apps now for some reason
I actually don't hate the idea at all, I think more games should have 2nd screen companion apps
though (my own bias) I'd rather have it available as a webapp so I can just open it in a browser or launch it locally
I like that steam keeps forcing devs to disclose things

Initially I was excited for the Raidou Remaster, but then I remembered it's ATLUS/SEGA in 2025. Of course they are overcharging and there's DLC

Rance 03 English translation was just released 👀I don't think I'm in any other servers I could talk about Rance in
I still need to finish Toushin Gent before I can start it though
Several of us here are playing it / will be playing it

I'm not going to be playing it for a bit, I'm busy and need to finish other games, so I'd appreciate not posting spoilers too haha
