I like that slowly they've been giving away the newer ones

what gets randomized?
just the game order, or do all the individual games have them
Replying to legorhin #jazardly i think game unlocks and garden items
yeah that's kinda nothing then
I do think you could pair down the game list to ~20 games randomly, and require 10 medals to clear the game
that would be an attainable clear condition, that still has RNG while retaining some amount of routing/strategy
Replying to legorhin #jazardly oh it gives progression items too
that's more cool then
tbh, I feel like a lot of people don't understand the fun of a randomizer being the routing part of it
archipelago suitability aside
lol
the Asscreed thing is weird because, there are SOOO many studios who would pour over the historical details of the era (like Ubisoft used to)
but because Shadows is a "mini" game, the did almost nothing
Max they did the thing
the opening act of KCD2 is so much fucking better than the first game it's absurd
KCD1 only really starts to get engaging ~10 hours in, before that it's mostly you just loot goblining and doing filler quests and tutorials
the game is still niche as fuck, and idk how you'd get into playing it without severe autism

good feature
Steamdb always had a warning in red when the last depot update was more than 18 months ago, but it's really only a major deal with EA stuff
I think if anything, they might want to display it more prominently, or require a checkbox to click when purchasing
How long until people complain it's racist to farm the ones on the right
I don't want to just hate on it without playing, but the more I've seen it looks way worse than any of the last CIV games on release
a lot of that is presentation, visuals, UI, theming
the UI looks like a default unity game
I really don't think it's changing much
some of it is wrong, like the tech tree
which they'll probably fix, but not much else
but it just looks like an incredibly cheap, which is funny for a $130 game
well, $100 for the normal edition you're meant to buy
they also simplified all the systems into identical parallel systems
BE and Civ6 both had an issue with railroading, but as they added mechanics they at least felt different from each other
in Civ7 from what I've seen, every mechanic just spits out a passive buff that lasts the length of the age
and you collect a dozen of them
rinse and repeat
so everything just feeds this wall of merit badges you get
