Should I play Bravely Default II 🐲 or Triangle Strategy 🦅 first?
Triangle Strategy has the way better artstyle imo
Gameplay is more important to me. I'm not a huge fan of either art style
I don't have a super strong opinion on either, neither story was super memorable
gameplay wise, felt about the same
I like the Bravely Default class system more
but thing the combat in Triangle Strategy is a bit more fun
I'm definitely a
story > characters >>> aesthetic > gameplay >>> OST
kind of person though
I separate aesthetic into graphics and UI. Sometimes UI makes or breaks a game for me.
I think a bad UI will make me like a game a lot less if it's a struggle
but I'll usually power through if I like everything else
I'm trying to think if there's ever been a case where I picked up a game solely because I liked the music

Well, I look up gameplay if the trailer hooks me for any reason. If the actual game does not look fun to play then ofc I don't pick it up.
Yes! Bravely Default 1 was one of my favourite games when it came out. Bravely Second was also quite good. I was very disappointed with Octopath Traveler I though.

Hey guys, its me, the guy who really cares about video game music
I agree more with Dialga than Spooky's ordering though
Gameplay being not near the top for games makes no sense unless you only play VNs
despite caring about the story the most, I play a shitload of simple puzzle games and such, and there are games that obviously have no in-built story like Dwarf Fortress that I think are excellent
and honestly, "story" is a bad term to use
it's everything that encompasses the narrative, characters, worldbuilding, writing, etc.
which I think is the bedrock of any form of media
that matters the most to me, and the presentation matters the most after that
I can forgive a game with okay story, art, etc if it has a banger ost and good gameplay
I cannot forgive the opposite as easily
Games should of course avoid having any category as bad, I think its more meaninful to discuss games that range from passable to great for each
Those margins are more interesting
