but if you go there early like I did, some were blank

because you hadnt beaten those chapters

I think I'm more annoyed by the grasshopper "fight"

i said before i hated all of chapter 6s bosses

i dont like them

the deer is the worst boss in the game imo

i fucking hated that shit

it even does the eldenring meme jump deer attack that people said genshin copied (it did)

deer was bad, agreed

the final boss and secret boss make up for it to me

but deer and grasshopper suck dick

the uh, mantis would have been bad if it had more health

mantis sucks too

grasshopper is just annoying because it requires way more stats than you should have normally

i leveled up my stamina and hp to max and had drugged myself to max already

but it wasnt enough

lol

i would be more okay with it if it didnt require more stats than you should reasonably have

the grasshopper grab mechanic isn't obvious and I have found all the hidden world pills in the game, but because I hadn't gone and brewed celestial medicine, I didn't have enough stam

and there was no indication what I was doing wrong

I didn't even think it was a boss at first

i mean

i intuited that it was just the breath of the wild mechanic

I kept thinking I needed to hold on for the entire ride

because botw had the LOL YOU NEED HP TO PULL THE MASTERSWORD

then TotK did the LOL YOU NEED STAMINA TO PULL THE MASTERSWORD GET SUBVERTED XD

so i instantly realized oh its just that

I also kept "refreshing" holding down E after each hop

i did try that

at first

which doesn't work, even though it seems like it should

to like make the stamina last

if they made it constantly shaking you off

itd make more sense

it took me like 3times to just go "oh it literally is just holding it"

it's really cool the first time you see it

i think they should of made all of the set pieces large and open like that

but just exposition dump after that

rhino has the lightning everywhere, grasshopper is jumping around

then deer is just chilling

as is mantis

Rhino was my favorite armored fight, even though I don't like armor as a mechanic

the armor mechanic is just

heavy attack

horn recharges

Had someone streaming the game last night complain about invisible walls in a boss arena, do you guys actually find it that annoying?

i have never had a single issue with the invisible walls

the only time i ever cursed them is when there was a rock i could jump over to get to an area

and they made me walk around

it's a joke Max and I make in fact, literally do not understand a single complaint about invisible walls

no other time have i had issues with them

it feels like an NPC thing, where someone said it and everyone just parrots it

same with the "there are no women" comments

but somehow game reviewers do magically

it's because they don't know what else to talk bad about it

because it's a near masterpiece and any other complaints require a dissertation on the game itself

So, muh "invisible walls" works as a perfect hook piece

other than maybe it's over-reliance on the player having read JTTW

but you can't write an article about that, that's not inclusive

I think the game has peaks and valleys in enjoyment

The only time I ever truly hated it

was the four chapter 6 trial bosses

since 3/4 suck

I also think the opening could be stronger, I was on the fence about returning it or not after 2 hours but I really enjoyed it, game of the year for sure, actually worth $60

As someone who has not read jttw

didn't feel like I missed out on much either

but I like the idea that the lore is there if you get autistically into it
