what she means by that is they want to avoid is all the characters looking like stereotypical "white-heroes"
and use premade characters to add diversity in
if you give people sliders, they'll "wash away all the work we put into making this the most diverse game ever"
they had a full character creator in beta iirc, same one they used to make all the NPCs in the game
but they're restricting for the full-release to promote diversity
