Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 explain what you mean by this
if I stream something to my friend they can hear it, if i record something in OBS it has sound
how many rings are on your headset wire end
I'd say hardware issue is more likely than driver issue though...
you're using the back ports right bob
focus on the back ones, do you have any other possible things to plug in, speakers/earbuds/anything

no but maybe I can ask my roommates if they have anything I could borrow
does ANY audio output device you've plugged in work
ignore the pink input on your headphones
just try the green one
more likely the issue is with your headset or the audio jack then
i mean it COULD be software but if you haven't tried it with other things then
and see if when it's plugged in if anything shows up in hardware manager (Windows list of all things plugged into your computer)
what does device manager say
do you have a realtek control panel thing?
if you search "realtek" in windows
does anything come up
can you scr that
ok so at the top
what does the headphone menu look like
ok so yeah, that looks like you back panel black and green are enabled
and your front pink and green
keep that window open, and open up your window sounds menu
again, ignore the pink for now
that's your mic
if the playback works, then the mic is probably trivial to fix too
this menu thing
is what I'm curious about
wait, the mic is working now?
ok so plug the mic into the port it works in
