I don't know how so many were able to predict that there would be a cliff-hanger. Yeah I'm not an anime only, but I don't go about refreshing my knowledge once the anime gets announced. It's not like 3 episodes isn't plenty of time to have a story arc. They could have always skipped wolf-boy's insecurities.

I feel like instead of being 13 episodes, the season should have been 11 episodes and ended just before the second trial

And how it wasn't about the destination but the journey, and there was never any guarantee that they'll get to whatchamacallit-land. Personally I saw Kircheis' death a mile away, because unlike some people, I watch the episode previews. (Also I found episode 6 of the bookclub the most "Tell me you don't watch the episode previews without telling me you watch the episode previews") People complain about spoilers in the previews, but they're no where near as bad as Yu Yu Hakusho's, but also there is 0 way of previewing episode 26 of LOGH without spoiling Siegfried's death since he dies in the first five seconds of it and the rest of the episode is everyone else reacting to said death.
